Tour itinary :
1st day: Flight to Istanbul, transfer to hotel, over night in the hotel in Istanbul.
2th day: Transfer to the airport, domestic flight to Van, in the afternoon boot trip to Van- Akdamar island- Overnight in the Hotel in Van..
3rd day: Transfer by coach to Dogubayazit. Last arrangements for the climb, overnight in the hotel in Dogubayazit..
4th day: Base camp
We start in the morning by to the village Eli by coach, then further by foot to the base. If the snow conditions are good enough, ascend will be by ski, luggage carried by pack horses. We are ascending with day pack. Onernight in tents in our base camp on 2.800 m altitude..
5th day: Upper camp, descending to base camp
For acclimatising we are ascending up to 4.300 m and skiing downhill to the base camp. Overnight in th base camp.
6th day: High camp
Ascending to the upper camp which is located on 3.750 m altitude. We are going early to sleep as this will be a short night.
7th day: Summit Mt. Ararat
Early at 04.00 h we will be leaving the camp after the breakfast to the summit. The way up to the summit is cold and takes approx. 4 - 6 hours. Depending on snow and ice conditions we´ll set up the crampons or ascending by ski to the summit. After the summit skiing downhill to the upper camp and further to the base camp. Overnight in the base camp.
8th day: Descend, Dogubeyazit
The way down takes 3 hours by footh. If the snow is good, so skiing downhil 45 minutes. Transfer further to the town Dogubayazit to our hotel.
9th day: Cultural trip around Dogubeyazit (in case of bad weather reserve day for the mountain)
Late in the morning trip to the official "Noahs´ Ark", passing villages and visiting the Ishak Pasa Palace. Overnight in he hotel in Dogubayazit.
10th day: Transfer to Van Airport, domestic flight to Istanbul. Rest of the day free for shopping and sightseeing.
11th day: Transfer to the airport, flight back home.
