Tour itinary:
1st day: Arrival
Flight to Dalaman or Antalya. Transfer to the hotel in Fethiye/ Ölüdeniz. We will be staying this night in the hotel in Ölüdeniz..
2nd day: Ovacik to Faralya
The walk starts from Ovacik after a short transfer of 15 minutes. On the left hand side Mt. Babadag abd the right side the famous view to the bay of Ölüdeniz. The walks end after 5 hours in Faralya, the famous Butterfly Valley. After a cold drink here in the village transfer to the hotel back to Ölüdeniz.
3rd day: Faralya to Alinca
The coach is taking us to the starting point of the walk, to Faralya. Pine forests, steep cliffs and the smell of oregano and Mamas Restaurant for a short break and then further along the Kabak bay up to Alinca, one of the most beautiful parts of the Lycian Way. For the night accommodation we are changing our destination to Patara.
4th day: Alinca to Bel
In the morning we have a transfer to the village Alinca back and walking the steep, rocky parts of the Lycian Way. The landscape scenery is changing many times today. We are crossing a small village, having great views to the sea, walking along fields, forests, and very old olive trees. The walk ends in the small village Bel. For the night we are driving back to Patara.
5th day: Bel to Gavuragili
The walk of this day is steep and rocky and taking us from the Village Bel mostly downhill to the village Gavuragili and then further to the breeding places of the turtles, to the beach of Karadere. Here we will have some time for a cold drink. Transfer to Patara.
6th day: Patara to Akbel
The walk is starting directly from the guest house. After seeing the ruins of Patara, the path is taking along the aqueduct of Patara. Its amazing to see the system how the old Lycian were taking their water through an huge dip.
7th day: Gökceören to Cukurbag
A long walk with wonderful natural and historical highlight. The walk is beginning after an hour drive in a mountain village called Gökceören. Its a beautiful village where most of the people living in Summertime. The elvation of the walk is al the time around 1.000 m. Many ascends and descends will be taking us to the ruins of Phellos, a worship places of the old Lycian then further to the village Cukurbag. As we are closed to the small tourism town Kas, we are changing our location this day.
8th day: Bayindir to Apollonia
After 30 minutes we are reaching the village Bayindir. From here we are follwing the path along the rocky coast. We are passing some 2 ruins on the way, tombs from the old Lycian time period, 5th and 6th century B.C.. The walk of this day is ending in the village Sahilkilincli where the ruin city Apollonia is, but the ruins will be visited the next day. From here transfer to Ücagiz, a small fishing village to our small guest house where we will be staying for the next 4 days.
9th day: Rest day
Dieser Tag steht zur freien Verfügung zum Ausruhen. Für diejenigen, die jedoch etwas machen möchten besteht fakultativ die Möglichkeit zur Besichtigung der Felsengräber von Myra und der Kirche des Hl. Nikolaus. Übernachtung wieder in Ücagiz in der bereits bekannten Pension.
10th day: Apollonia to Ücagiz
The walk of this day is on the lower coast side along wonderful small rocky bays. First we are visiting the ruins of the old Lycian city Apollonia from the 5th century B.C.. Further we will be passing the ruins of Aparleia which is from the same period. After a lunch break in a fishermans restaurant in a lonesome bay the walk lasts one more hour till Ücagiz.
11th day: Kapakli to Ücagiz
One more beautiful walk which is taking us from Kapakli along the coast to Ücagiz, now from the West side of it. But this day we will split from the Lycian Way to a small ancient city called Istlada. Or maybe the real Lycian Way? However, after a beautiful walk along the coast we reach the castle Simena before we are finishing the walk in Ücagiz.
12th day: Blue Cruise
Now our cruise is starting. Depending on weather conditions we have a transfer to the harbour of Kas or boarding directly in Ücagiz to our Gulet type cruise boat. The first day of the cruise we are watching the ruins of the sunken city. Further after some swimming stops in nice bays we are anchoring in the bay Gökkaya which is surrounded by bizarre rock formations. We will stay here, the water is quite however the weather is.
13th day: Second day of the cruise
The captains prefere to cross Golf of Finike early in the morning as otherwise the waves are high. After reachng the "5 Islands" the sea the beautiful small bays will start again and inviting for swimming breaks. As the bay at the ancient city Phaselis has silent water, its a good place for to stay over night. And as we have to stay here, a visit the ruins should be indispensible.
14th day: Transfer Kemer to Antalya
One more hour on sea before we are getting out of the ship to be having transferred to the hotel in the Antalya city. After this one hour transfer the rest of the day is free for to have a look to the city of Antalya. A visit to the beautiful museum of Antalya makes a big sense a there are published some of the foundations of the old Lycian and more. In the evening having a drink all together.
15th day: Time to say Good Bye
Breakfast, transfer to airport and flight back home.
